Introduction
There are many different things that schools, people, and companies can do to help stop climate change. Schools can educate students and teachers on climate change, people can do small things to save resources like water, energy, and more. To conclude, companies, schools, and people can help stop climate change.
SchoolsSchools use a lot of resources like paper, food, electricity, and water, so it’s important for them to save and reuse resources. First, schools can learn about climate change. For example, teachers can learn about climate change and then teach their students so they know how they can help. Second, schools can reduce the amount of waste they send to landfills. Such as, composting and recycling; schools could even compost and make a garden. Third, all schools can track how much greenhouse gases they produce. For example, schools k-12 can check their carbon footprint, or how much carbon dioxide they produce and how much energy they use, by using ENERGY STAR. In summary, there are many different things that schools can do to help stop climate change like using the four R’s which are reduce, reuse, recycle, and rot (What You Can Do).
Electricity and WaterAt home you can help save water and electricity by doing little things every day to use less water and electricity. For example, you can only use the amount of water that you’re actually going to use. To do this you can only fill your kettle with the amount you’ll actually drink so you use and turn off all electronics at night to save energy less water and less energy. Another thing you can do is reduce the amount of water and electricity that you use for things that take a lot of water every day that you don’t really need. Such as, shower shorter, get Mail Preference Service to get less junk mail and save electricity, paper and fuel, and turn your brightness down on your computer so it doesn’t waste energy so you can save energy to use less water and electricity (World leaders have done their bit on climate change, now here are 10 ways you can too). Another example is save energy from preparing water, use less water by turning the water off when you brush your teeth or shaving, fixing leaky faucets, only running the dishwasher when you have a full load, and conserving water when gardening (What You Can Do). All in all, there are many small things you can do to use less water and electricity.

The Four RsAdditionally, there are small things you can do to use the four r’s which are reduce, reuse, recycle, and rot/compost. People use the four r’s to use less resources which means less have to be made so less greenhouse gases are released from making new materials. Also people use the four r’s to keep less material out of landfills to save landfill space. Last, people use the four r’s to keep food waste out of landfills this is good because food waste rotting releases greenhouse gases which causes climate change. So, make sure you recycle bottles, cans, paper, and compost food scraps (What You Can Do). Also, some things like the things you eat release less greenhouse gases which helps stop climate change. Such as eat less things such as tomatoes in the winter so they don’t have to be transported which produces less greenhouse gases and meat because when cows are farmed they release less carbon dioxide (World leaders have done their bit on climate change, now here are 10 ways you can too). In the end, everyone should use the four r’s to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases they emit which helps stop climate change.
TransportationOne more thing everyone can do to help stop climate change is change their transportation method to work or school. For example, to produce less greenhouse gases by driving independently to school or work, if your take the bus, bike or walk you can save money and produce less greenhouse gases (World leaders have done their bit on climate change, now here are 10 ways you can too). This is easy to do because everyone can use public transportation, carpool, bike or walk to places to reduce energy and greenhouse gas emissions. Also there are different types of cars that you can buy to reduce greenhouse emissions. Such as, when you’re shopping for a new car or renting one you can buy fuel efficient vehicles to save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, or even just buying a used car can help instead of buying a new one because then cars have to be made instead of people using already made cars (What You Can Do). Finally, there are things you can do while you’re driving. For example, use less air conditioner and make sure your tires are fully inflated to get more efficiency out of your vehicle so you use less fuel which makes less greenhouse gases (World leaders have done their bit on climate change, now here are 10 ways you can too) . Additionally, you can be careful using the brakes, using the gas pedal, reduce your time spent idling and remove unnecessary weight in your trunk to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (What You Can Do). To sum it all up, there are big and small things people can do whenever you’re using transportation.

There are different things from big to small that everyone can do to help stop climate change from continuing. People in schools can recycle, compost, and track their carbon footprint (how much greenhouse gases they release into the atmosphere). However, everyone can use less water at home like showering less, use less energy like turning down the brightness on their laptop, and everyone can use more environmental friendly ways of transportation like taking the bus or biking places instead of driving their car alone. So, everyone can do their part to stop climate change.
